Blackberry Developer

Responsibilities:

• Actively develop enterprise mobile applications based on the Blackberry platform.
• Be able to work with the latest devices and technologies.
• End to end delivery of innovative mobile applications.
• Very familiar with all the phases of software development lifecycle (SDLC). These include Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Implementation and software release management.
• Create effective technical requirements and design specifications.
• Effectively communicates technical, business functional, design concepts and work status with the development team and management.
• Creating and updating relevant documentation.

Qualifications/Required Skills:

• 4+ years of Development experience in commercial environment.
• 2+ years of application development experience in the Blackberry/J2ME platforms.
• Experience with the Blackberry Java Development Environment (JDE).
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming/Development.
• Experience of working on Windows and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of Mobile networks such as GSM, GPRS, CDMA, iDEN
• Have solid working experience with JAVA network interfaces such as Web Services (SOAP), and data encryption such as Transport Layer Security (TLS).
• Have a solid understanding of Blackberry or J2ME Provisioning systems
• Have solid working experience with project tools and code management/build tools such as, CVS, SUBVERSION, ANT,
• Have solid working experience with an IDE for mobile applications such as: Blackberry JDE, Java Development Environment, Eclipse.
• Experience with IIS, Tomcat, and Test Director, and XML is highly desired.
• Experience with wireless devices such as Blackberry, Java phones and others.
• Experience with the OATH standard is an asset.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent Industry experience.
